In August 2008, I rode the 670 mile East Coast (north) ride from Portsmouth, NH to Washington, DC.
This year I completed the East Coast riding the 960 mile (south) part from Washington, DC to Jacksonville, FL.
The first day was a challenging 90 mile ride to Fredricksburg, Virginia. We then passed thru many Civil War sites and fine plantations in the deep South. One of our "days off" was in Savannah, Georgia -- lots of history to see there.
I posted daily journals (blog entries) on this site every night. I usually have many interesting stories and experiences.
(You can also read a little about the riders that were with me on my trip.)
