Foxy continues to be a great "doggie" alarm clock. Eggs, bagel, juice, coffee for breakfast. Today's ride start was at the Ledyard Up and Down "water powered" Sawmill. I was alone for today's ride, no company. The building and sawing area was closed so I couldn't take any photos, except for the sign. It isn't operational at this time of year anyway because the pond water source is too low for the saw to work. Late winter/spring is best. Maybe next March I can get some photos and post them here.

BTW - The only reason that I was able to post on yesterday's blog that "we" had 3,000 ft of climbing was, Ray had a GPS in his back pocket. Ray didn't ride with me today, but my estimate is that I probably did 2,000 ft. My goal each day is to ride moderately/ leisurely for pleasure and be able to get up the next day and do it again.

I was riding on Wolfneck Rd. today when I cyclist passed me going the opposite direction and yelled " Hi John". We both stopped and it was a good friend of mine, Mike Fritz. We both have been trying to connect probably for 5 years to do a ride together, and we meet up in this most unusual way. We made some plans.

Great weather again today! The Preston part of the ride was where the climbing was necessary and the roads I was on had very little traffic and houses - very quiet - a cyclists dream.
