Up again at 6:00, thanks to Foxy. Today was supposed to be a 54 mile ride starting at Norwichtown Green. Donna and I did a "car ride" for it (yesterday) Sunday afternoon. It was originally a challenging ride up into Canterbury, Brooklyn, Hampton, Scotland, Chaplin and Windham. We did a "car ride" of it and got lost, canned the ride and replaced it with a shorter ride out to the west into Bozrah, Lebanon and Colchester. We also did a "car ride" for that one. I wasn't sure that I wanted to do that one either. So we made up a 27 mile ride over into New London, Waterford and East Lyme as a back-up. I drove to Norwichtown Green this morning, no one else showed up so I came home with the expectation of doing the East Lyme ride. When I got home, my friend Mike Fritz was at my house expecting to join me on today’s ride. GREAT! We have both been trying to connect for a ride for 4 years, so we made up a short 10 mile ride. He then rode home and I did 20 more miles and end up with a 31 mile ride. We did make some tentative future plans - more on that later.

Tomorrow will be a 50 mile ride and the last ride of my 8 day 2013 RFA effort. My thank you gathering (for donors) will be this Saturday, August 24, 3 - 5 PM at my home. Light refreshments will be provided and I will share some stories.
